CARPET LAYER

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, fit and detail-oriented person to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering top-notch flooring installations and possess a keen eye for detail. If you’re experienced in carpet installation or are ready to learn how to install natural flooring in a fast paced environment and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove old flooring materials and prepare surfaces for new installations.

• Cut and lay carpets with precision, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.

• Install underlay and smooth edge, and apply adhesives, use staple gun and other materials as needed.

• Trim and edge carpets to fit around obstacles and corners.

• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications.

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to address any concerns or adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Carpet Layer or similar role in flooring installation or the enthusiasm and commitment to learn a new trade.

• Ability to read and interpret house plans.

• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.

• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification or training in flooring installation.

• Experience with a variety of carpet types and installation methods.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
